It was during the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020, a moment of so many uncertainties, that Indiara and Luiz Felipe Dias de Souza took the first step towards their common dream: to create an organization focused on transforming realities with compassion and action.

The urgency of the context mobilized them to donate basic food baskets to families in vulnerable situations in Porto Feliz and Iperó (SP). The initiative, carried out in partnership with the Boa Vista Neighborhood Association, resulted in the distribution of approximately 11,850 baskets between 2020 and 2022.
More than just an emergency response, this movement was the starting point of a structured action in favor of social justice. The experience of being close to those in greatest need and offering tangible support was the necessary impetus to bring the idea of the Justice Institute (IJ) to life.
“It was this experience that consolidated the purpose of the IJ: to transform realities through social and environmental justice and the promotion of fundamental rights,” explains Indiara.
