Instituto Fazendo História
Since 2020, the Instituto Justiça (IJ) has been a partner of the Instituto Fazendo História (IFH), contributing with monthly donations that help to expand the network of support for children and adolescents in vulnerable situations in Brazil.
Founded in 2005, the IFH supports children and adolescents across the country in situations of care, in order to empower them to take ownership of and transform their stories, breaking a cycle of abandonment, disruption, and violence.
To achieve this, the Instituto Fazendo História develops and maintains 7 programs aimed at caregivers, educators, volunteers, and professionals, forming a vibrant and collaborative network of action.
In 2020, alongside specialists from various sectors of the country, the Fazendo História Institute participated in the creation of the Welcoming Family Coalition, an initiative that seeks to increase the number of trained families for temporary foster care. The action involves the training and monitoring of professionals and families, as well as the collaboration with public authorities and civil society, to facilitate and make the foster care process safer.
In this context, the Instituto Justiça collaborated on the development of the six educational booklets of the Coalition — practical materials aimed at preparing for hosting, building emotional bonds, and providing support during the family reintegration process.
By supporting the Instituto Fazendo História, IJ reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive protection of childhood, contributing to a more humane, sensitive, and transformative model of hosting.
